Every month, KMME brings together professionals from diverse fields to share knowledge and insights at our technical presentations. These lectures have been a cornerstone of our Association since its founding in 1953.
Who presents? Our speakers come from all walks of professional life. Past presentations have covered topics including bridge load testing at the University of Waterloo, advances in wireless telecommunications, environmental remediation of contaminated urban sites, medical imaging research at Toronto hospitals, and the history of Hungarian engineering contributions to aerospace.
How to attend Lectures are typically held on the third Thursday of each month at the Hungarian Cultural Centre in Toronto, at 7:30 PM. Doors open at 7 PM for light refreshments. Presentations begin at 7:30 and run approximately two hours, including a Q&A session.
We also stream every lecture live on Zoom for members who cannot attend in person. Details about the upcoming lecture — including speaker, topic, and Zoom link — are circulated via email to all members and posted on this blog one week before the event.
New members receive two complimentary guest tickets for their first lecture. After that, attendance is open to all members and their guests at no additional cost.
If you would like to give a presentation on your area of expertise, or know someone who might, please contact the Association at magyar_mernok@kmme.org.
